Academic Directors

Kaleen Porras - K-5 Academic Director



Mrs. Porras serves FCA’s K-6 Academic Director and Curriculum Director and is also overseeing our elementary program for those with Special Needs. She is a native Arizonian who graduated from ASU with a Bachelor’s in Elementary Education with a specialization in math. She has been teaching at FCA since 2006.

Elizabeth Carey - Middle and High School Academic Director



As one of the founding families, the Careys have been a part of FCA for over 10 years. Mrs. Carey graduated from Texas Tech University with a Bachelor’s in English. She obtained her Secondary Teaching Certificate through the University of Phoenix. Prior to teaching at FCA, Mrs. Carey home schooled her children for 3 years. In addition to being Academic Director, Mrs. Carey also teaches middle and high school Language Arts.

Teachers

Anne Grochocki - Pre-K Teacher



Mrs. Anne has over 20 years of experience as a Pre-Kindergarten teacher. She has also served pre-k through elementary age students in church ministry throughout Arizona. She has been teaching at FCA since the school opened in 2005.

Tiffany Grimm - Kindergarten and 1st Grade Teacher



Mrs. Tiffany Grimm has a B.A. in Early Childhood/Special Education and has worked in the classroom for over 11 years.  She has worked in 4 different states and 2 different countries. While teaching in Georgia, she received the New Teacher of the Year Award and received the Parent Choice Award for her work with an autistic child in Florida.

Tami Chambers - 2nd and 3rd Grade



Mrs. Chambers received a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from Ottawa University. She has been trained through Spalding Educational International and has taught classes in preschool through 8th grade.

Jennifer Milfs - 4th and 5th Grade



Mrs. Milfs graduated in 1995 from Palm Beach Atlantic University with a degree in Elementary Education. She and her family moved to Arizona from Illinois in 2009 and have loved it ever since. Mrs. Milfs previously taught at FCA for 5 years and then decided to take a break, returning to the classroom for the 2016-17 school year. She and her husband have four children, one girl who is married and 3 boys. In addition to teaching at FCA, she is also the Children's Director at her church. Mrs. Milfs is so grateful for the opportunity to be back in the Christian school where she can share the love of Jesus with her students!

Aimee Hunter - Art and Math



Aimee Hunter attended Wichita State University where she graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Art. Upon graduation, she began her family with her husband Jeff. Together they have three children, all of whom attend FCA. Aimee was in the childcare industry until her youngest began attending school, and then she began work as a teaching assistant in Kansas. She and her family moved to Arizona in 2013.

Aimee teaches Art and Math at FCA. Her passion is Jesus’ love and sharing Him with the kids, along with helping children be successful in their academics. She counts being a part of the FCA family as a great privilege and thanks God for bringing her here.

Debra Carter - Independent Studies/Testing



Mrs. Carter has lived in Arizona for 40 years in the Queen Creek/Higley area. She has been married for 24 years and has one daughter who will be graduating this year with a secondary education in chemistry.  Mrs. Carter has a degree in Child Development and has taught Title 1 Reading in the Queen Creek area. She has been a part of Freedom Christian Academy as a parent and staff member since 2005 and is dedicated to seeing students grow in their faith. 

Jerry Petty - Spanish



Mr. Petty served as a pastor over a period of 22 years and as Principal of an ACE Christian school for 3 years. He has studied Latin, French, New Testament Greek, Hebrew, and Spanish. The goal of his Spanish classes is to have students speaking Spanish to the best of their ability by the end of the school year.

Julie Rhoadarmer - English and Science



Mrs. Rhoadarmer graduated from Ottawa University with a Degree in English and Secondary Education and has taught in public schools and private Christian Schools. She and her husband Allen have three children and 14 grandchildren and have lived in Arizona for 26 years, but are originally from Colorado. Together they co-own an Antique Shop in Gilbert with their daughter Tara and son-in-law. They attend Grace Church in Mesa where they are both active. Mrs. Rhoadarmer enjoys teaching and loves working with children of all ages!

Administration


Ben Koshtaka Pastor

Pastor Ben is the Pastor of New Creation Fellowship and Freedom Christian Academy, and was an Associate Pastor in Texas for 7 years before joining us here in Arizona. Pastor Ben serves as the overseer for the Academic and Finance Directors. He graduated from Accelerated Christian Training School in 2003. He has been preaching sermons, teaching Bible School courses, and sharing the love Christ for over 10 years.


Cassie Koshtaka

Finance Supervisor and School Advisor

Mrs. Koshatka is the Pastor’s wife and also serves Freedom Christian Academy and New Creation Fellowship as the Finance Supervisor. She oversees the overall operating costs and works with Ms. Wendy in regards to tuition and scholarships for the students. Mrs. Koshatka graduated from Texas Bible Institute in 2001 and Accelerated Christian Training School in 2005 and has 20 years of combined Child Care Classroom and Administration experience. She is a Jesus-loving Texan brought to Arizona by the Lord and believes that Christ should be established in children from a very early age.


Wendy Cota
Administrative Secretary

Wendy Cota is the school secretary and has been with Freedom Christian Academy since 2007. She previously worked for the Queen Creek School district as a Title One aide, providing additional help to children who need to reach their full potential in reading and worked with Special Needs children as a Special Education aide. Ms. Cota is from Southern California and previously worked for a metropolitan newspaper publishing company for over 15 years before becoming a full time mom and moving to the Queen Creek/San Tan Valley area 11 years ago with her three children.
